The Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD) is a municipal wastewater treatment facility rated to manage over 50 million gallons per day located in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Industrial Pretreatment Inspector

Salary Range: $31.01-$36.54/hr. This is a first shift position

Makes regular field visits to industrial facilities within the District’s member communities to ensure compliance with Pretreatment Regulations and the District’s Industrial Pretreatment Program.  A minimum of two (2) years as an environmental or sanitary engineering technician or equivalent position preferred.  Knowledge of wastewater sampling methods and field laboratory instrumentation is desired.

Starting salary commensurate with experience and wastewater operator licensure.

Wastewater Operator

Salary Range: Operator $25.00 – $36.55/hr.

Candidates shall possess a Grade 4 (or higher) Massachusetts Municipal Wastewater Operator License. The chosen candidate will participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility. This position has five different shifts which will be discussed during the interview process.

Starting salary commensurate with experience and wastewater operator licensure.

Mechanic Millwright

Salary Range: $26.44-$34.80/hr.

This is a first shift position, M-F 7 a.m.-3 p.m.  Candidate shall be mechanically inclined and have experience with the repair of industrial equipment.  Reciprocating engine and heavy equipment experience is a plus.  Starting salary commensurate with experience.

Electrician

Salary range $31.73-$39.42/hr.

Annual Stipend of $5000.00 if candidate holds Massachusetts Master Electrician License.

This is a 1st shift position, M-F 7AM – 3PM.

Candidate shall possess a Massachusetts Journeyman’s Electrical License.  The chosen candidate will participate in and perform the testing, maintenance and operation, replacement, overhaul and repair of the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the treatment plant and associated facilities.

Starting salary commensurate with experience.

Operator Trainee

Salary $23.08 – $24.04/hr.

Training provided. Must be able to acquire Grade 4 (or higher) Massachusetts Municipal Wastewater License.
