Procurement of Supplies and Services

As a public agency, GLSD’s purchasing practices are subject to the Massachusetts Uniform Procurement Act, General Laws Chapter 30B.

Chapter 30B governs the acquisition and disposition of supplies, defined as all property, other than real property, including equipment, materials, and printing.  It also governs the acquisition and disposition of supplies incidental to the delivery, conveyance, and installation of such property.

The procurement of services, defined generally as the furnishing of labor, time or effort by a contractor, is also governed my Chapter 30B.  Services covered by Chapter 30B do not include employment agreements, collective bargaining or grant agreements.

GLSD is currently seeking bids for the following supplies and services:

Community Assessment Study

The purpose of the Community Assessment Study is to identify alternate methods for computing the annual assessment to the member municipalities. The study will have to incorporate a review of the current cost allocation formulas and recommend alternatives for the Board’s consideration.
